Venezuelska policija uhitila je ovog tjedna violinista, simbola antivladinih prosvjeda, i oštetila mu sluh divljački ga premlativši njegovom violinom, objavile su udruge za zaštitu ljudskih prava.

Wuilly Arteaga (23) postao je poznat nakon što je snimljen kako usred sukoba policije i prosvjednika svira na svojoj violini nacionalnu himnu.

Prosvjedi protiv predsjednika Nicolasa Madura traju već četiri mjeseca i u njima je život izgubilo 110 osoba.

Arteaga je uhićen u četvrtak, kazao je Alfredo Romero iz organizacije Penal Forum rights group. "Kosu su mu palili upaljačem, teško ga premlatili i ne čuje više na desno uho", kazao je Romero.

Vlasti nisu željele odgovoriti na upite o sudbini violinista.

Više od 4800 osoba uhićeno je tijekom četiri mjeseca nemira a u pritvorima je još 1300 osoba.
