Ima nešto hipnotizirajuće u ovom neobično ukrašenom kamenju
Australska umjetnica Elspeth McLean, koja trenutno živi u Kanadi, stvara stvarno nevjerojatno lijepa umjetnička djela tehnikom koju sama naziva dotilizam. Pronalazi savršeno okruglo ili ovalno kamenje koje zatim ukrašava stotinama sitnim raznobojnim točkicama boje.
Ovako ukrašeno kamenje naziva se mandalama – simbolima svemira i cjelovitosti, a vjeruje se da umiruju dušu i donose unutarnje ispunjenje. Zbilja su predivni!
A goal for this year- to create more constellation stones. Star gazing is one of my earliest memories. I've spent many treasured moments with the Stars. The night sky has a very nostalgic feeling for me that I think many people can relate to, which is a big reason I love painting these little treasures. 💫
"What's taking me so long with the mandala stones?" You may ask… These are individual works of art that I dedicate a lot of time, love and energy into. I also have lots of other painting commitments over the summer which are coming to a close soon. Finally, I'm trying to build a big collection of the stones so I can create some lovely photographic pieces of them- not everyone who wants a stone will be able to get one/afford one- they are limited in numbers and are priced accordingly. I want to create other fun, affordable and functional ways to enjoy these creations. I will be announcing very soon as to what day the actual stones will be for sale on etsy again- it will be sometime next week so stay tuned! Blessings and thank you for your understanding and patience 💖 #mandalastones #elspethmclean #dotillism
Here in New Zealand it is New Years Eve. Only half an hour left of 2015- wow- what a year! It's been the biggest year yet for me in so many ways. Thank you everyone for joining me on my artistic endeavours. I create my art to share with others and to bring colour/life/happiness and joy to the world. I never dreamed my art would reach the magnitude of people it did this year. It has been humbling, exciting and also super scary and very hard at times too. In hindsight and in my heart, I know I did my best with what life presented me with. 2016 is already shaping up to be an amazing year. I've got so many wonderful projects I can't wait to share with you all! It's going to be another full, colourful, creative and adventurous year. I truly wish everyone the best and for an awesome New Year! 💖 Peace
Today was the first day in months I've painted stones. These two are not for sale but very special gifts for my nieces (4&6) who talk about my stones everyday. When my mandala stones went viral big time back in April I had to take a step back from them. I experienced the dark side of the Internet and felt overwhelmed by the numbers of people desperate to own a stone. I needed a break to think, work on other projects and join my husband on a business trip. I have settled and decided on the new system it's just taking a while to implement as I build the website.Today while painting these I was brought back to the beautiful amazing space I go into while painting them. I LOVE painting them but I am still working on a new system of selling them that will be as fair as possible and will keep me at peace. These treasures ARE limited in numbers- no two are the same and I am not interested in mass production. I appreciate everyone's patience as I navigate these new unknown waters. I write this to educate and to shed light that behind online businesses are people with feelings that are doing the very best they can. Nothing can ever take away my joy of painting. I look forward to sharing my jewel drop mandala stones through my new system in the coming weeks. 💖
Last week I had heaps of fun playing around with some Mandala Stones creating some new photography that is now available as prints, stickers, mugs, phone cases and even clothing! This way everyone can bring these colourful creations into their life in some way.
